About Laurie

Laurie is a Christian singer, song-writer, speaker, and published author.  Laurie was left a partial paraplegic at the age of 14 due to injuries sustained in a car accident caused by a drunk driver and not being medically treated properly by a doctor who was also under the influence when she arrived at the hospital. She has dealt with adversity but has seen how God works through even the most horrible circumstances. Jesus Christ transformed her life through this car accident and today she has a deep passion for missions and reaching people with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  When she's not in the studio, she is often traveling around the world doing events as far away as Moldova, Russia, France, Alaska, and Germany.  Her husband Kevin is an United States Army Chaplain and their family is no stranger to ministry. Along with their children Luke, Lydiaruth, and Canaan, Laurie and Kevin continue to pursue Christ by using their passions and talents to share the Good News with all people in all places.

"Someone has wisely said, 'The mark of the mature Christian is not what happens to them, but how they respond to what happens to them!'...Laurie Thompson clearly shows that she has that special touch of maturity. Her response to a tragic accident is an incredible testimony to her love for Jesus and her determination to be 'above her problems' rather than beneath them."

-Evangelist Junior Hill,

Hartselle, AL

“I am so blessed and thankful for Laurie’s ministry. Her passion for our Lord Jesus is clear and her music is full of the Spirit..this music has beauty and is deeply moving…so blessed by this ministry.”

“Laurie Thompson was my student at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary almost two decades ago. She and her husband Kevin have a wonderful family and a heart for ministry. Through great physical challenges, Laurie has managed her household, helped her husband, and nurtured her children and still found time to pour out time and energies in ministry through her gift in music and inspiring pen.”
